What makes our Switch kit unique?

Everyone has probably had the experience that the walls of your hot tub felt slippery. As if there is a layer of slime on the walls. This is called biofilm. It is where many bacteria nest. Traditional products such as chlorine, for example, hardly get through this layer (biofilm), which means that a very large amount is required to reach the bacteria. As a result, a very high dose of disinfection ends up in the water. This causes negative side effects for your skin, eyes and breathing. Our unique and patented AquaFinesse formula is able to soak this biofilm layer away from the walls and break it open, preventing the bacteria from hiding. Now all you need is a little disinfection.

With just one dose per week, our Switch kit ensures clean, silky soft and crystal-clear water. In addition, the AquaFinesse formula ensures that your hot tub components last longer because it avoids the accumulation of limescale in your hot tub / spa!

Preparation

It is important to start with a clean spa. In particular, your plumbing may be contaminated. This also applies to new spas. Our AquaFinesse
SpaClean gives your old or new spa a thorough clean. For elaborate instructions for using the AquaFinesse SpaClean tablet, we refer you to
the AquaFinesse SpaClean instructions for use. These are included with the tablet. You will find an abridged instruction below.
1. Remove the filters to obtain maximum flow.
2. Check that all jets, waterfalls and regulators are open.
3. Dissolve the AquaFinesse SpaClean tablet in a bucket of water.
4. Add it to your spa water. If you have a new spa, first fill it with water and then add the dissolved AquaFinesse SpaClean tablet to the water.
5. Activate the pumps at least two or three times at full power during the next 24 hours.
6. Remove all the water, preferably through the spa’s drain. Your spa is now clean.
7. Fill the spa with ordinary tap water and warm it up before starting the water maintenance.*

Simple weekly treatment

1. Put clean filters in the spa. (This kit contains a test pack with two AquaFinesse Filter Cleaner tablets for cleaning your filter.)
2. Put an SWE disinfection tablet 90 in the dispenser and put the dispenser in the skimmer or grid/container.
There should always be a tablet in the dispenser.
3. Add the prescribed amount of AquaFinesse to the water, using the measuring cup supplied.
You will find the right dosage on the label on the back of the bottle.
4. Open all valves and jets. Activate pumps for one minute.

How long does the AquaFinesse Switch kit last?

The Switch kit contains sufficient product to maintain your spa for about six weeks. In addition, it also contains an AquaFinesse Spa Clean tablet to pre-clean your tub and a trial pack containing two AquaFinesse filter cleaner tablets to try out.

Do I need to shower before I use the spa?

It is advisable to shower in advance. The cleaner you go in the hot tub, the longer your water lasts.

Can I fill my spa with softened water?

It may sound strange, but we do not recommend using softened water. To keep the water balanced, the water in a spa needs lime. If you still want this, we recommend filling only 50% with softened water and the other 50% with normal water.

Do I need to measure my pH weekly?

AquaFinesse ensures that your pH remains stable. When using AquaFinesse, the pH will be between 7.2 and 8.2. So you don’t have to do anything.

I have foam on my water. What do I do now?

There are two types of foam. First of all, white foam. This could be because you have a new spa. If it is the first fill of water, we recommend replacing it if it is more than six weeks old. Other causes are often care products, such as: body lotion, hairspray/gel and make-up.

There is also brown foam. This is caused by organic contamination or if your water is too old. Replacing the water is then the only option

My spa has a salt water system, can I use AquaFinesse?

Unfortunately, you cannot use AquaFinesse in combination with a salt system.
